The 2-Port USB SuperBooster Dongle Receiver is one component of a complete solution that, when paired with a transmitter (sold separately), allows you to conquer USB length limitations and put your USB devices where you need them. This solution extends the distance of a USB device to a host computer up to 150ft, enabling you to place your USB projector, camera, printer, or other USB device exactly where you want it! The USB SuperBooster Dongle is powerful yet simple, with no drivers to install or special software required. It's also compatible with any computer that supports USB. This plug-and-play device consists of a transmitter unit and receiver unit, both incorporated into single gang Decora-compatible wall plates or dongles. Two transmitter options are available a wall plate transmitter and a dongle transmitter, allowing you to customize the configuration to meet your own needs. These options are ideal for applications where you need the flexibility of having either a wall plate or a dongle at your computer/source side. The transmitter/receiver pair is connected via standard Cat5, Cat5E, or Cat6 UTP cable which enables easy installation. Use pre-terminated network cables or pull un-terminated cable and use the included tool-less IDC RJ45 connector. Additionally, the USB SuperBooster Dongle is bus-powered so no external power source is required. Features: Extends the functional distance of a USB signal, allowing a USB device to work with a USB-enabled computer up to 150ft away. Ideal for use with USB projectors, interactive whiteboards, cameras, printers, web cams, hubs, and other USB devices. One part of a total solution (transmitter is sold separately) that provides the flexibility to customize the configuration to specific needs. Transmitter options include either a wall plate solution (part #29344) or a dongle solution (part #29348). Bus-powered so no external power source is required.
