Description:

This is a unique SIM card service that the travel experts love! You get global coverage on 1 phone number. It’s easy to use because it uses standard direct dialing like your home phone (unlike the complicated call back system above). And your service is continually active whenever you need it so you’ll never get cut off. And most importantly, you get the best call quality — it automatically chooses the strongest cell phone signal of all the carriers in the area. It’s the equivalent of your US cell phone being able to choose between Cingular/AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Nextel and Sprint for the strongest signal every time you make a call, so the quality is always the best. And quality is obviously the most important feature of a cell phone service!

Features:

Works with GSM phones of all frequencies on 320 GSM networks in over 170 countries

Automatically chooses the strongest cell phone signal in each country to place your call

Keep the same phone number every time you travel

Charges debited from your credit card; online statements and free 24-hour technical support provided

Use as little or as much as you need--no minimum usage requirements

1DO NOT BUY!!!Aug 16, 2010
We used the SIM card to browse the internet for a period of one month and they sent us three bills totaling $1934.35. We disconnected service after the first outrageous bill arrived and two additional bills still arrived within days. Apparently even after the SIM was removed from phone we incurred $55.44 of charges. I am fighting with Mobal and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This may seem like a good deal but Mobal will steal you blind. Stay AWAY!

1Cheaper to buy a SIMM card in-country or use SkypeJul 17, 2010
If you are bringing your computer or even a PSP 3000, you are better off using SKYPE. Invest in a Skype number for a year and choose the world plan. The PSP 3000 is $169.00 and has SKYPE loaded into it. You can't do video, but you can call your contacts from your account or cell phones / hard line phones most at no extra charge.
I have worked overseas, Iraq and now Kosovo, almost five years and this has been the best choice. I have a U.S. number and I call my wife in Thailand, no extra charges. You can text message and chat too. You can surf the net on the PSP. Just need a WiFi spot and if traveling outside the U.S., most places offer this for FREE unlike the United States. Buy an unlocked cell phone and carry it as a back up using a LOCAL SIMM card. Anything from the States is going to be way too expensive.

1Please stay away from this piece of junk !!!!!!!!Jul 06, 2010
They charged me $30.95 for 13 minutes of airtime. This is the worst product that I have ever bought from any mobile company. It is shameful that Amazon.com still sells this products after more than 45 bad reviews out of a total of 75. Shame on you amazon.com

2Really, really expensiveJun 22, 2010
The concept is really great--to have a dedicated phone number and SIM card that remains the same. This company advertises a lot in airline magazines, so I decided to give it a try. I've used it on several trips and admit that it is really convenient. However, the price is really excessive for what you get. On my last trip, I made calls that totalled about half an hour and the bill was over $100. I just saw a similar product(I think it's called Telestial) that may be worth a look, but I'm not too hopeful.
