 My 801247 Works GreatNov 19, 2009
We've had this DT 801247 system for over 2 months and our signal went from 1 bar to full. When I purchased this DeskTop booster, my salesperson told me it would cover about 10-20 ft and that's exactly what it's doing. We love it and the fact that we can get reliable service in our office is very satisfying. We can run our business from our home now. I also love the price of this kit. I recommend this kit if you want to get good service. Wilson product is great.

We live down in a "hole" so to speak in a canyon with hills all the way around us, huge trees and also have metal roofs. Needless to say we had major challenges for our cell phone service which my husband does his business by. With the help of the Wilson Electronics signal boost and installing per the manufacturer's directions, we are able to make calls out of my husband's 40'x40' metal shop which was virtually impossible beforehand. We strongly recommend this product.

Cell has to be within about 3 feet of amp - my desk is bigger than that. It needs to at least cover a room - say 15-20 foot radius to be worth it. I never would have even considered it has I known the range was so limited.

Doesn't work too goodMay 20, 2008
I mounted the outside antenna at a place my cell phone has 4 bars, and the inside unit is 30' away. Within 3 feet of the inside unit, I get 1-2 bars of signal which is what I always got. So I'll have to say this unit does not work. Customer support at Wilson was no help at all.
And, after I bought it I discovered that it is for desktop use, with a range of around 6 feet. Definitely NOT worth the money.
