We have 3 cars and 3 iphones. Original, 3G, and 3GS. We also have 3 of these boosters. They all work great. They all charge all the phones and we have never gotten the error message. In places where there was no or vey weak signal it boosts the signal very well. We have used blue tooth headsets and wired headsets both work great. The bottom of the unit has an Apple connector which we use to connect the USB to the car stereo and play music through. We use case logic cases on our phones and they fit fine with the case on. There is a little "wiggle" room with the case on and if you dont press the phone into the connector it can lose its connection intermittently. Unfortunately the unit does cover the iphones speakers os tough to use it as a speaker phone. Without the case and the adapter the phones fit snug and perfectly. I really cant recommend this any higher! I bought Panavise indash mounts for each of the cars and they work much better than the mounts that Wilson provides. I highly recommend getting the Panavise mounts. PanaVise Universal Dash Mount 45 Degree angle, blackThey make custom ones for each vehicle check their website.

Great help for remote locationsOct 27, 2009
I live in a remote area and would get no bars at all driving the 15 miles to town. Now I get signal most of the time. The terrain is very hilly. It also allows me to make calls in many remote places where I never had signal before. I used the iBooster on a 4000 mile trip across the country and back and it worked great. Very few dropped calls on the road and good signal strength. Even in remote areas of Michigan where my phone always showed "no signal" the booster allowed me to make phone calls. Notes: I have the first model of iPhone. I also bought the higher gain magnet mount antenna.
I have no problem with the iBooster charging my phone. The phone does need to be pressed firmly into the connector though. I also use the extra iPhone connector on the iBooster to plug the phone into my stereo and this allows me to play music while the phone is in the cradle. The stereo also provides power so the iBooster works with just the stereo iPhone connector plugged into the iBooster. The message about compatibility with the phone appears but this happens on every accessory I have for the iPhone. The message clears itself if I ignore it. The unit does get warm but that seems normal for a device like this.
The only dislike I have is that the cradle makes it hard to press a few of the keyboard keys on iPhone when I'm sending text messages.

i am in the oilfield bought this because i am all over the united states now i have five bars on my phone no matter where i am at. they might have places where i will not get it but have not found that place yet. when i do i will write where its at. love it and the price is right.

It really does work. In an area where I got no reception, I now get good reception. In an area where the phone used to go in and out, I now get great reception. However, I am not finding that the phone gets such good reception when removed from the cradle. They say it should within a certain area, but I find sometimes this is not the case. I think the best way of using the booster is keeping the phone in the cradle and using a blue tooth.

For over 5 years, I have Spent a lot of quality time in a place even cell phone signals cannot locate, in the deepest boonies of Florida. There isn't even an address to this property. I went through several different phones and services only to be let down time after time. Finally bought an iphone to give it a try. It worked here and there, but never at my camp, and 1 bar was all I could ever see, anywhere. I discovered the ibooster. I was, of course, skeptical. I gave Wilson a call, really nice and knowledgeable folks. I then ordered it through Amazon. I remembered the video of the bars lighting up on the phone when they placed it in the cradle. I couldn't believe the exact thing happened when I did the same. The thing works perfectly, and they can retrofit the unit as a home based unit, so it can be used mobile or stationary with ac or dc current. What more could you ask for. I can use my Bluetooth up to 50 ft away. This thing deserves 10 stars.
